I asked this on the NCL board but didnt get a response.

Can we book the Atlantis Swim directly with Atlantis? Its quite a bit less than thru NCL.

I went on Atlantis's site and it looks like they offer "day guests" to book online.

Also, is there an observer area? My DD wants to do this but her parents and cousin do not. Can we watch or be allowed in the Cay area?

Any help is appreciated.

Yes you can book it yourself but you will need to get to Atlantis on your own. We did this with NCL and they were 1 hour late and we almost missed the meet up. (so going on your own is a good idea) do it for the morning because we just did the meeting and photos and we had to run back to the bus and we almost missed to the boat. (photos take a long time!) Yes there is an area on the "beach" where family can watch but it costs some $ and there is no water for them to get in just the sand. It takes a good 15 min to walk from the hotel to the dolphin area so add extra time if you have slow walkers. I did this with my 4 yr old son and we couldn't keep up with the group. SO to answer your question: yes book it yourself, get off the boat as soon as you can and get a cab over there. When you book ask where you are supposed to go to get your arm bands to get into the grounds. The hotel is HUGE and very confusing and we had to go through the casino to get outside. Keep asking how to get to the dolphin area and you will finally get there (you can look around after your dolphin meeting) I hope this helps!! And when you get a cab you should ask when is a good time to come back, our bus got stuck in a huge traffic jam....normal traffic for the island said the bus driver! It really was a great experience and we learned a lot about dolphins. I stress out easily so I was on edge the whole time but my son had a nice time.
