Early saver question

I'm sorry if this has been answered hundreds of times ,but I'm not able to do the research at this moment.

 

If you booked under the early saver with 50.00 deposit and you see a price break , if you fill out the form and request the lower price will Carnival require you to pay the additional deposit due?

When I booked through an early saver I had a reduced deposit. I found a cheaper rate and did not have to pay the deposit. My deposit was around $300 at the time, so I'm not sure if these rules would still apply for you.

Thank you so much for your quick reply. We are still several months out and would rather hold on to the extra cash a little while longer .

I think there is a risk still that you will need to pay the full deposit if you make a price drop claim with an ES $50 deposit booking.

 

You can change cabins in the same cat for better positioned cabins without it affecting the reduced deposit but if the price drop is not with a $50 deal then I am pretty sure you will have to pay the full deposit.

I booked Early saver with $50 deposit and when I called for the adjustment was told I had to pay the $500 deposit for the cruise or it would be cancelled. :eek: Did it anyway, thank goodness for tax refunds!

You would have to meet the conditions that apply to the new rate. If that rate does not offer a reduced deposit then you must pay the regular deposit or your reservation will be cancelled.
