$USD or $AUS onboard Solstice

We are doing a South Pacific cruise from Sydney on the Solstice and my friend and I disagree on the currency used for onboard purchases. Can someone please confirm for us. Thanks

You can not use cash on board, except for the casino.

 

Usually they show everything purchased as in American dollars like in Europe no euro's, but $ US.

All charges onboard are in USD.

 

If you only have Australian cash, or a credit card, it will be converted to USD at the end of the cruise when the bill comes. i.e. you can pay your account in Australian cash (but with their conversion rate applied).

Thanks that is what I thought as in Europe it was $USD but my friend was quite insistent it was $AUS. I usually pre purchase OBC so just wanted to confirm
