wondering how the dance shows are, and how good are the characters?

Lol, it's Disney, what can I say. The Wonder has some of the same shows as the Magic. The costumes, dancing, singing, effects, etc are exactly what you expect from Disney. DCL has some of the best production shows out there.

The talent of DCL performers is right up there with broadway as far as we are concerned. And to do it all on a moving stage would really be a challenge. The characters are in many of the shows and are wonderful. Everyone cheers for their favorite ones and the kids ( and me) get so excited!!!
