mom x4,grandma x4 Posted July 27, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2005 They never announce major changes ahead of time for dry dock. But they always put in new carpet, re do the floors, change drapes, re paint everything, re-pad the theater seats and just make it look like a brand new ship. We are sailing in December so I am looking forward to seeing it all spruced up. mom x4,grandma x4
jelbnl Posted July 28, 2005 #3 Share Posted July 28, 2005 WE were on the 7/9/05 Magic and they did give a few tidbits. They are making a permanent place for the art auctions and enlarging the spa. They are converting most of the conference rooms on Deck 2 to additional kids spaces, putting in some sort of reality cruise thing down there. Chrisva Posted August 5, 2005 #4 Share Posted August 5, 2005 In the past couple years the Magic has come here (Norfolk Va) for a short yard period in the Oct time frame. I imagine this year will probably be no different.
callajl Posted August 6, 2005 #5 Share Posted August 6, 2005 Oh they are making some GREAT changes! I know that they are adding the jumbotron or some large movie screen over the pool! They are making another kids area on deck 2, and some other things like that but I am loving the idea of the outdoor theatre! WOO HOO

callajl Posted August 9, 2005 #7 Share Posted August 9, 2005 It is just a large movie screen that will be located above the pool. Princess is the only other cruiseline that I know that has these. They call it a "drive in move" experience.
