Martinique on a Sunday? Is everything closed!!

Hi there, I just figured out ous ship the Sun Princess docks in Martinique on a Sunday - Will all the shops be closed and what else will be closed????

unfortunatly you're right! most shops are closed on sunday in fort-de-france. But you are lucky, shops are open in Pointe du Bout the touristic area. you'll find shops, boutiques, restaurants, bars, beaches...everything you wish and shuttle boats between fort-de-france and Pointe du bout "work" all day long. So don't worry and enjoy Martinique.:D

It is also Jan. 1st which is a holiday there also. People in the shops there are not that friendly anyway. We are hitting a beach- Anse Mitan or Les Salinas perhaps.

January 1st is holiday. You're right shops will be closed but the good thing is that beaches won't be crowdy!!!:D
