Ksack Posted March 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 5, 2014 Just wondering if anyone knows what NCL means by you can't bring unsealed food products on board. Dh & I were hoping to make our own snack mix for when we are on shore.... Hope we still can...
gooch47 Posted March 5, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2014 Taking it off the ship usually isn't allowed either by the port authorities.
orangegrove Posted March 5, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 5, 2014 We had an open bag of "Pirate Booty" clipped with a clothes pin and security made me throw it in the garbage. I wasn't thinking. We just drove 14 hours and it was leftover food in the car and didn't want it to go stale while we were gone for 10 days. Into the trash it went. I have taken closed, factory sealed chips and a can of almonds without a problem.

I don't even know how many years, and we have never had a problem. As for taking food off the ship, that is a different story, and I do not believe that is allowed. orangegrove Posted March 5, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 5, 2014 You probably could put it in your luggage. You may or may not be caught. They are usually looking for liquor in there! Mine was in the carryon bag because I was cleaning out the car.
