Why the need to ridicule those of us who did enjoy it? Everyone enjoys different things and I think it's kind of rude to belittle other folks interests. But that's just me.

I really do not think of it as "belittling" as much as it is just having fun. It is like my family makes fun if me wanting a Coach purse sure I could get by with a cheaper one but I like what I like and I get the jokes no harm done.

As for taking away the Wine Sommelier, if you know what this person does, maybe Carnival isn't the cruise line for you (I had to look it up too)

 

 

A Sommelier or wine steward, is a trained and knowledgeable wine professional, normally working in fine restaurants, who specializes in all aspects of wine service as well as wine and food pairing. The role is much more specialized and informed than that of a wine waiter: In fine dining today the role is strategically on a par with that of the executive chef
