Jeafl Posted March 5, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2014 Very interesting. It's nice to see Carnival in the news for something positive for a change.
grandmacani Posted March 6, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 6, 2014 On one of our cruises on the Victory the ship did a double back to a small craft of Haitians who'd been without fuel or water for days. They were searched and kept securely safe until the coastguard arrived the next day. It looked like 7-8 but when they unloaded there were 20 with a young pregnant lady. This was just after 911 and people were nervous about this. Many of the passengers acted like they were going to be walking hallways, seeing shows... I understand but it seemed that carnival had taken all precautions. It would have been very hard to pass up people in need. But that's me.
