Gem Embarkation

Recommended Posts

We have sailed out of NY before but I see for our Gem cruise in April it says disembarkation is at 10 a.m. Is that true? If so, can you still get on the ship around noon or is it later since the ship gets into port later? We are driving from Maryland so I want to time our arrival so that we don't sit in too much traffic or get to the port after boarding. The Gem leaves on a Monday so I know we will be hitting traffic!

I noticed this too when we booked and thought it odd. But the ship has been back at the dock at 7am for all except one cruise this season.

Boarding has been starting at noon.

We were on the Gem a few months ago and the arrival time in New York scheduled for 10am then too. We actually were docked much earlier, before 8 if I remember. You should be onboard by noon.
