UDP and kids

I was wondering if anyone has been able to buy the plan for kids under 12 at 1/2 price?

 

Or do we have to wait and buy it on ship?

 

Once we buy it can I make reservations ahead of time, once we hit 45 days out?

 

I tried and it wouldn't save it to my cart. I am like 88 days out for a cruise on Getaway. It wouldn't let me even buy it for DH and myself.

It's my understanding that the UDP is not available for kids under 12. If they eat from the kids' menu it's free, or if they eat from the specialty menu it's half price. You will be able to make reservations at 45 days out for all of you, whether or not the package is purchased.
