question about horizon-leaving saturday

Do you really have to get that dressed up for the informal dinners? We always get dressed for the formal nights, but after going on NCL and the free styling way they have, we were spoiled. We always wore nice slacks and tops, but do you really need sports jackets for the other times? Is there dinner (buffet) if you get back late from do-as-you-want day and do not feel like rushing to dress for dinner? Thanks!

Hi, cosmogirlpearl. Well, you know the drill with the required dress on board. I wore a jacket and tie on Informal nights. Most men at least had on a jacket. Many did remove their jacket during dinner, which I think is OK. As for the buffet, in the Coral Seas Cafe, not a problem and looked pretty good. If you are in to it, I'm not for the most part, they did have fresh Sushi in there and a fair variety of food. I believe that you can also have a sit down there for like a $2.00 p/p charge. Pizza 'til the wee hours, too. Now if you are not going to attend dinner in the Main Dining room, please, please, please advise the Matre 'D of your absence. Often, your waiters will hold up on taking the table's orders if someone is missing. It's a courtesy to your table mates. ENJOY!
