We will be taking our first cruise on HAL next year. Incredibly excited!! I collect cruise ship models from the gift shops and was wondering if HAL has them? I only ask because I've never seen a pic of one. Thank you for the information.

The gift shops have the "ceramic" HAL ship models (only for the ship you're on). For the "glass enclosed, highly detailed" models, one has to dish out beaucoup bucks and they are not available on the ships ;) Those, you can get on-line though

I received a gift last year of a scale model of the Eurodam. It was 1/900 scale and finely detailed and hand painted. The ship was in a plexiglass display case with a wooden bottom that had a plaque saying it was 1 of 12 built by the artist.

I can't recall his name and the model is in my home in Chicago and I am in Ft Lauderdale waiting for my cruise next week.

You can search the Internet for "scale model cruise ship" and you will find them. He has done several different cruise lines and they are a bit expensive but you are getting a real work of art, not a toy!

Not that I have beaucoup bucks, but love ship, have several wood ones, but love to have a glass one, where would you find them on-line, Copper?

Thank you, Copper! Do you happen to know how they compare in size to the resin souvenir ships on other lines?
