I think every trip I have been on there is a storm or cyclone on the way. These big ships have great stabilizers and they will change path if needed. Sometimes the calm before and after the storm is as flat as. Our smoothest part of any trip was around the bottom of the South Island NZ, and we had heard horror stories! I think people tell you the rough parts and the 95% calm is just quietly enjoyed. :)
