Bermuda?

We went last year for our anniversary and lived it. We like sea days and having 5 for the cruise was wonderful. Also we are golfers and got to play two rounds while we were there- list of fun. Even fit in a little bit of beach time. Our idea of relaxation - no shopping, sea days and calm time on the island.

Good luck!

We love Bermuda! So much to do and see there, high budget or low budget, or you can just relax around the port if you want.

Have you looked into Celebrity Summit 7 days from NJ to Bermuda? While we love Explorer, we had an awesome time on the Summit! And those 2 extra days are a nice bonus (for approx. the same cost).

We cruised to Bermuda in the late fall and had a great time, once we got there. It was really bad weather on the way over (during hurricane Sandy ). Once we got there, we had beautiful weather, and made use of the ferry and bus pass. We took the ferry up to Hamilton, then brought the bus back. We went to the beach. Did some exploring. We really enjoyed the days in Bermuda. Then, our return trip wasn't near as bumpy, but no outdoor time, too cold and bumpy!

Crossing the Atlantic can be a bumpy ride any time of the year. All depends on what Mother Nature has on her mind for that day.

Choose the ship which gives you the most time in Bermuda. :)

Unfortunately that is the reason I will be going on NCL to go to Bermuda this year. Explorer only gives a day and a half, whereas NCL gives 2 and a half days.

We took explorer to bermuda one august. It was HOT but so beautiful. I have also been to bermuda the day after a hurricane, and the destruction was just awful. No flowers or foliage on anything. But still a gorgeous island!

Thinking of a Bermuda cruise this summer.. For anyone that has gone, did you enjoy it?What did you like/dislike about it?

Thinking of one in August that leaves from NJ/NY on the Explorer OTS.

We've been to Bermuda a number of times and LOVE it. I'd think twice about cruising in august though - hurricane season. LOVE the beaches, the cleanliness of the town, the people. Didn't like the price of the food on land.

We went to Bermuda for our first cruise and had a great time. Public transportation is excellent. The people were very friendly and helpful. We took the Grandeur out of Baltimore, and were in Bermuda for 2 partial days and 1 full day.

Things could be more expensive then what you are use to. That was the only drawback, but heck you are on vacation.

You should also check out the Bermuda forum in Ports of Call. Tons of information there.

Enjoy your cruise.
