14 day cruise..do not want tp pay extra for dining

Well I just spent 9 nights onboard Spirit and never went to the main restaurants once! :eek:

 

Cagney's was nice but service slow

Teppenyaki was very filling.

 

My friends onboard also did Shogun and Bistro which they enjoyed.

 

There is also the Sushi bar and the Italian upstairs although I missed not having an Moderno

 

The Buffet did a different roast each night and plenty of options including a few themed lunches/dinners and one night after a late large breakfast I just had a combination of the offerings in Blue Lagoon. Panini, fries and a chef salad.

 

It all depends how fussy an eater you are..

Having a good time on a cruise. no matter what options one chooses, is 99% attitude. If you decide to have a good time and enjoy yourself you will!

We did 16 days on the Dawn in 2012 and only ate in the specialty restaurants twice. We may have done Blue Lagoon or whatever they call the 24 hour place more than twice... hehe can't remember. I've found the MDR to be perfectly acceptable most times we were there and if not, we just sent it back.

 

Come to think of it, my worst meal was Le Bistro which we normally love but the sauce they put over my steak was so salty I coudn't eat it. But that went back and a replacement had with no problem.
