Any advice on what to do with our luggage post cruise?

We have a 5:00 P.M. flight out of Hobby after our Carnival Magic cruise. We don't want to get to the airport and sit for hours, especially since we probably can't check in our luggage more than a few hours before the flight. (Been there, done that, it wasn't fun at all!)

 

Does anyone know of, or have experience with, hotels that we can pay to hang on to our luggage for a few hours while we schmy around Galveston? Luggage Express is not available.
