Zenith 9/25/04 NYC-Bermuda (aka "turning 40" cruise)

Anyone interested in joining me and my friends celebrating my 40th birthday on board Zenith 9/25/04?

 

They say September is a great month to visit Bermuda. Sure, last year there was that pesky hurricane. . .but it's highly unusual in those parts, really it is!

I'd LOVE to join you, but getting another 8 days away in September before my 12-day cruise on Mercury might not be a major "plus" with the boss.

 

Ian, of course, definitely couldn't come...he barely has enough time to make the two weeks we'll need in October out of SFO.

 

We should definitely plan something for March/April again, though!

Gary, I'm eating my words. I realized that if I could survive that night on Galaxy last month I could make it through anything!

haha you are absolutely right, Ed! That night between St. Maarten and the Bahamas was awful...definitely as bad as what I experienced on the North Atlantic.

 

Just remember too -- it's only one day at sea, so just kick back, relax and enjoy a very long nap if you start feeling it.

 

If you're not feeling it, take the time to go down to the promenade deck and stare out the front of the bow. You'll be amazed seeing a small ship like Zenith/Horizon literally lift out of the water completely and slam back down, sending a 40+ foot wall of water flying both directions.

 

It's like watching those old documentaries on World War II battleships hehe.

 

If you decide not to go, make sure you give serious consideration to the 11-night we're going on out of SFO 10/13/04. The prices (I just checked) are quite reasonable!!
