What do you tip for half day boat excusion for 5 people?

My family is doing a power catamaran excursion for a half day. What do you tip on something like this? We are paying for the trip and gas-about $575 for a family of five. Any advice would be great!

Same % that you would tip for any service based on your satisfaction. So for us 20% would be appropriate for a great day. Many crew members rely on tips for a living too.

I think just tipping on the price less gas would be acceptable. $15 - 20 pp would be generous (as long as you are highly pleased with the service of course). Someone else may feel that's too generous and another not generous enough. But I think that's a good average.
