Disney9903 Posted March 16, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 16, 2014 We will be on the Liberty cruise in December, and our younger son will be 3 months shy of turning 12. Because he has an older brother, he is mature for his age. I think he might be bored in with 9-11 year olds, would he be permitted to join the club with the 12-14 year olds? Thanks! Oasis Of The Seas Expert Posted March 16, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 16, 2014 Most likely he will not be able to. On Oasis they were very strict about the ages.
rlb Posted March 18, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 18, 2014 We were on the Allure in July and my 11 1/2 year old daughter was told by the teen's club supervisor that there was no way she was going to the kids club - she was to come into the teen's club. She isn't a "rule" breaker and had a hard time with this at first, but found it much more fun then the kids club. That being said, she looks like she is 15 or 16 herself and she was going in with our 16 year old son. Think it all depends on who you speak to in the teen's club and what your child is like. We had also been on the Jewel 6 mos prior and when we were checking in they gave her a sea card with the teens logo on it rather then then kids club logo. I think she could have probably gone to the teens club that trip (she had just turned 11), but like I said she isn't a "rule breaker". Good luck

Because he has an older brother, he is mature for his age. I think he might be bored in with 9-11 year olds, would he be permitted to join the club with the 12-14 year olds? Thanks! We are going on the Freedom in July and my son will be 3 weeks shy of 12 (and also very mature for his age) and my other son is 14. I had the same question. The answer I got so far is to ask when we get on the ship but I am going to insist on it. I don't want him with the 9-11 year olds. He'd be bored to death and I want him with his brother for their first cruise.
Oasis Of The Seas Expert Posted March 19, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 19, 2014 (edited) If you are interested, I posted teen compasses for Oasis. They have the same basic activities on Liberty. I would not use the times here for scheduling though. (do not plan on these times being accurate for your cruise). http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=42109698#post42109698 Edited March 19, 2014 by Oasis Of The Seas Expert
