Allis154 Posted July 26, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 26, 2005 I was recently on a Tidal Bore rafting experience. What a blast it was!!! White water rafting without the rocks! We went with the people at the Tidal Bore Rafting Park in Maitland, Nova Scotia. While not everybody would be able to do this on a cruise, if you could work it into your schedule, it is well worth the trip. Times change based on tide times. The day we went was an 'extreme' day, but what a rush! We rode the rapids for a while, then toured down river a ways. We were able to get out on a sand flat and had lunch, then the ride back to the park to change and go home. We are already talking about when we will go back! Oh, the park is about an hour north of Halifax. And I am not in anyway associated with this Park. There are a couple of other companies that also do Tidal Bore rafting.
