mgarcia10 Posted March 18, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2014 Hi Everyone, We are leaving on our Oasis cruise in 4 days. Looking for fun tings to do with our kids 10 and 6. Does anyone know if we can just take a taxi from the Oasis all the way to the top of Paradise Point? Then we'd ride the tram down. Any idea on the cost? We are thinking of visiting Butterfly Garden also, could we walk from the bottom of the tram or do we need to hop on another taxi? If we want to visit these two spots would a taxi or rental car be better?
blue_water Posted March 18, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2014 Yes great idea, and taking a taxi from Crown to the top of PP and then walking from the tram to BF is the way to go. Return taxi fare from Havensight to Crown is $4pp, so it may be $5 - 6pp from Crown Bay to the top of PP. Don't miss the Bird Lady's show at PP! klaner64 Posted March 18, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 18, 2014 I've never been there, but from what I have read your ticket for the tram for Paradise Point would be for a round trip ticket anyway, so it might be better to just go up and down on the tram. Is that correct?
blue_water Posted March 18, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 18, 2014 You can usually purchase a refundable roundtrip tram ticket at your excursions desk on the ship for about $18pp. But you can also take the tram one way too so you have a choice. mgarcia10 Posted March 18, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted March 18, 2014 Excellent! Thanks for the input. I didn't see the round trip ticket listed in the excursions for Oasis, but I will check into it.
dcikon2 Posted March 19, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 19, 2014 I think everyone should take the tram up to Paradise Point. The views are great. I think this should be a must do while on St. Thomas. It is also close to the pier.
blue_water Posted March 19, 2014 #7 Share Posted March 19, 2014 I agree, taking the tram at least one-way is worth the time and cost.
