"The Letter"

Just got this today. I've had FTTF for months. 1:30 is hardly faster!

 

From what I've read here, the General consensus is to ignore this?

Ignore it UNLESS it has a specific reason.

 

The letter was correct for our Imagination cruise after it's repo to Long Beach.

I just called Carnival to inquire, and they told me the current miracle voyage is experiencing a "lengthy unavoidable delay"it's will cause our embarkation to be delayed on Saturday.

 

I wonder what's up?

I don't know, looks like the standard letter to me. I'm trying to find our reminder from last year to verify, but they like to discourage everyone from arriving early, even with FTTF.

I'd be inclined to go at 10:30am as usual, and bring my Kindle, some water, a snack, and a great deal of patience just in case.

We had FTTF last year on the dream. If I remember correctly, we got a similar communication. Got a similar message from the parking attendant when we pulled in.

 

We started boarding at 1130.

Miracle has been having issues with boarding recently.

Many here on CC have reported this.

 

We had fttf and also got that letter, we arrived about 10:30, were on board about 1:40. I wrote specifics on the non-fttf in my review linked below.

 

If it were any other ship, I'd say ignore the letter. But since it's Miracle, it may be the case. If you do arrive early-bring something to do and maybe snack on.

We had FTTF last month on the Victory. Carnival called our house phone the day before the cruise to tell us not to board until 1:30. We were in Fort Lauderdale when the call came in. We ignored it and walked right on the ship a little after 11:00 am.

Just back from Miami Conquest sailing with FTTF and got the 1:30 letter also.

 

I ignored it and was on the ship by 11am.

Gore the letter in January for Liberty cruise. Ignored it and were on the ship about 12:00.

Curious as to what they delay was since we were on the cruise and off super early.

We got a similar letter for our Liberty cruise last November. It did give the specific reason about more extensive debarkation procedures because the previous cruise visited Belize. We had FTTF and ignored it and was on the ship by 10:30. I would rather wait at the port with some chance to get onboard than sit at my hotel or somewhere else with zero chance of getting on the ship.
