margiandmike Posted July 26, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 26, 2005 Currently my family and I are booked in an 8a balcony room on the Glory, sailing Thanksgiving week 2006.....we are in room 6223 on the front of the ship. Is this a good room? or should we go the gaurantee route and possibly get upgraded. Also, are the staff more attentive the higher up the room is? Do balcony cabins on this ship have refridgerators? Any other info on the Glory and the Western Caribbean iternerary would be appreciated.
serene56 Posted July 26, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 26, 2005 http://www.cruiseclues.com (for all the inforamtion you can find on the glory.) Doesnt matter where your cabin is-- or what category cabin. THe people who booked suites are given the same treatment as the people who booked the lowest category there is. TAking an upgrade on the chance of being upgraded? If you like to know where your cabin is loacted then book a cabin. If you dont care where you get put--then take a guarantee. But please be aware taht booking a gauantee can place you in any balcony cabin on the ship. Yes you an get upgraded but you could get put into an area that is not well wanted.. like on top of a dicop--under the kitchen- Pizza place runs 24 hours a day. serene56 Posted July 26, 2005 #3 Share Posted July 26, 2005 Just because the agent gave you that cabin number does not mean you have to take it. You can pick a cabin moe midship. Check the deck plans. Find out whats available and make choices from there. here is the deck plans http://www.carnival.com/Deck_Plan.aspx?shipCode=GL&deckCode=6&popup=1 here are some choices of cabins that are available. 6239- 6240- 6226- 6465 - 6426- 6426-6430-6434 (do you have 4 people sailing? margiandmike Posted July 27, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted July 27, 2005 Our room is at the front of the ship on the Upper Deck. I picked that room because it isn't over a bar or casino. Can anyone tell me if they have been in a room on the Glory on the upper deck? Also, are the ships crowded during Thanksgiving week?
serene56 Posted July 27, 2005 #5 Share Posted July 27, 2005 Also, are the ships crowded during Thanksgiving week? Just about as crowded as it is during the rest of the year-- ship only holds so many people.. The ships sails full almost every week. But your sailing will have much more kids then other weeks.
