Going on the Breeze 6 day in June for the first time. Just wondering how early you need to head to the lido deck for a good spot on sea days??? Where was your favorite spot? Also, did you try Cucina del Capitano??? Thanks.

Good evening!

How was it?? We are going on the Breeze April 20th for the six day cruise as well. Anything to add to the MUST DO list or anything to add to the MUST NOT DO list??

Thanks in advance!!

KP... The Breeze is a beautiful ship and we had a great time. I can't say I "Loved" it, because it is too large for my personal taste.

annbuono... I heard that people were seen putting towels on chairs as early as 5 or 6 am. That's insane! I would say that you should get a decent spot near the pool if you're up there by 8 or so. We lounged quite near the blue iguana tequila bar, facing the big screen. Only problem there is it's quite shady until around 10-11am. We ate at Cucina del Capitano on Friday night and really enjoyed it a lot :).

adams... Overall, we had a great time, but we went specifically to do nothing and relax. Must do? Have fun! Must not do? Don't be picky about little things... Just go with a good attitude and you'll have a great time!

I just got off the Breeze two weeks ago. Definitely go to the piano bar! We had sooo much fun there. Check it out early in the cruise, it gets more and more crowded as the week goes on and people discover it.

I also recommend getting a weekly pass to the spa. I know this might not be for everyone, but it was such a nice way to unwind after a day in the sun before getting ready for dinner!

Other things I recommend are Red From Rum Bar on deck 5...they had a good acoustic singer in there most of the time, as well as trivia games. Outside it on the deck they had a cute swing and cornhole (bean bag game) set up. Really fun spot.

It's also really fun to watch the Hairy Chest and Miss Carnival Breeze competitions on sea days. Get a lounge chair by the pool for these!

When the pool deck is too crowded, check out the loungers on deck 5, 11 and 12. Lots of lounge chairs with great sea views. There are also clamshell loungers by the starboard aft hot tubs on Deck 5. A lot of people don't discover this spot at first, and we found it empty a few times.

Hope that helps!! You're going to have such a great time!

I got off the Breeze two weeks ago, and was really glad to see that Carnival was actually monitoring/policing the lounge chair hogs. There was a guy keeping an eye on all the loungers, and if he saw one vacant with stuff on it for a certain amount of time, he put a warning sticker on the chair with the time recorded. If the sticker was still on the chair a certain amount of time later, he would collect the items and free up the chair. We got front row lounge chairs by the pool this way. The people came back 3 hours AFTER he cleared their things (so they had left their things on it probably 5 hours earlier!!) and luckily weren't mad when I explained that the staff had taken their things.

The first sea day was definitely the easiest day to get a lounge chair. One time when I couldn't find open loungers, I went up one deck and found a rattan armchair with an ottoman. I kept my eye on the chairs below and when I saw a couple start packing up their stuff, made my way down there and got their chairs.

It's pretty easy to get a lounge chair on deck 5, and the decks above the lido deck. They're not by the pool, but they face the ocean, which is usually a better view (haha).

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the info! I've seen so many reviews and pics on CC that have helped me, I'll have to take some pics myself and return the favor. ;-)

Annbuono,

Definitely go down the yellow water slide (I didn't make it all the way down on the orange one:() and try the Ropes course. My DIL who is afraid of heights even did it once.m:eek:

I agree with checking out the Red Frog pub...I wandered in there one night and really enjoyed Timmy who was playing guitar. Even bought his cd later in the week when he was playing on Lido.

The Breeze has such a calm decor. Loved it. If budget allows, try the Steakhouse. I didn't care for the Playlist productions shows personally. The chairs for sitting on the deck above Lido are so comfy. Sat out there talking to DD one night. Such a nice time.

Have lunch in the Italian restaurant...you can get it to go, but hold on to your garlic bread...wind can catch it.

Enjoy the ship, it's beautiful and I never felt crowded since there are so many places to go.

Ps..I am on CC every night too. Once in awhile DH will read me something and I'm like, "I know" .... :p

Hey, Pesh! Did you see the Mr Breeze contest? My DH was #3. The old guy ;).

bigbny1... I do have the fun times. If I had a scanner, I would post them, but no such luck. I'd be happy to look at them if you had a specific question though.

We will be doing the 6 night cruise in September. I am trying to figure out which night would be best to book the Steakhouse, without missing Elegant night or anything fun in the MDR ??

Any suggestions ??

I have to say, that casino was probably the busiest I've ever seen! It most definitely was a lot of fun. I miss Imam and Roystone already. :( Where's my drink???

We were on the Breeze in December and loved it. Red Frog Pub had trivia night with Kenneth and he was hilarious. There always seemed to be seats available on the Lido around the pull. We prefer seating on the aft, less crowded. Just overall had a great cruise.

We chose the first night for the steakhouse, based on looking at menus before we sailed. The dining room menu was the least appealing for us that night.

Any idea the height requirements for the rope course? I have a 7 year old. :)

I don't do heights myself, so I couldn't even look at it. Someone here posted that they did it, so they might know the answer. Sorry :(...
