Buying Wine Before Boarding in Ft. Lauderdale

We have a Monday morning cruise on the Liberty of the Seas coming up. We are staying at the Springhill Suites on 18th Court pre-cruise. We are allowed to bring 2 bottles of wine per cabin on board. Where can we go to purchase wine that is near the hotel?

There is a BJ's and a Kmart across the street in the Oakwood Plaza. BJ's is certain to have a better wine selection, however I think they sell their wine "inside the club" (booze/liqour not required to have a membership) so you would have to be a member. If not a member, you can easily go to their website and print a 1 day pass to shop at BJ's. They do charge a 15% surcharge but that's only a $1.50 on a $10 bottle of wine, not a big deal. They also have a free 60 day membership that can be often found on the internet and they don't have a surcharge for purchases.

Walgreens is about a mile east on Stirling and they also sell wine.

Thank you for the information. We have a total of 4 cabins in our group, so we may be getting as much as 8 bottles. It's still under discussion as we start to fine-tune our plans for the trip.

If you don't want to lug it, do the pre order at total wine and they will have it packed for you when you stop. Then just make sure all eight either carry their own, or are present at the wine table to claim their "allowed" bottle so no one is charged the fee.
