kindacrazytwo Posted July 27, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 27, 2005 hi everyone. My family and I will be taking a short cruise on Mercury out of Seattle in October. We sailed with RCCL last September and had an amazing time. I have a few questions that I wasn't able to find the answers to on Celebrity's website. They tend to be more general than "ship specific" on their site. Is there really no dinner buffet? What is this about the "Persian Gardens" that I keep reading about? Is there some part of the spa that can be used (pools, saunas, etc) for a flat fee for the whole cruise? Are there roaming photographers like on other lines? Thanks for any info plus any other great tips about the ship you may have! :) Sarah
JNLROSE Posted July 27, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2005 Is there really no dinner buffet? Yes, there REALLY is no dinner buffet! There is alternative dining in the "buffet" restaurant, but it is table service with white table linen in a casual atmosphere. What is this about the "Persian Gardens" that I keep reading about? Spa facilities, you can take a tour of the spa then sign up for whichever treatments you want during your cruise. Is there some part of the spa that can be used (pools, saunas, etc) for a flat fee for the whole cruise? If you are not in a suite, you can pourchase a cruise-long pass for the T-pool, which is basically a large wonderful hot tub! Are there roaming photographers like on other lines? Yes, plus they stage formal pictures in different places on formal nights!

L11 Posted July 28, 2005 #4 Share Posted July 28, 2005 The Persian Gardens are awesome, but they are only on the M class ships, not on Mercury (C Class). Linda
hajekfam Posted July 28, 2005 #5 Share Posted July 28, 2005 You must be 18 to use the thallasotherapy pool (t-pool).
