Booking another cruise while onboard

When we sail this fall on the Oasis we are thinking of booking a cruise for our 20th anniversary in 2016. We have never booked another cruise while on board. What perks would we get by doing this? We are platinum c&a if that matters.

You would get a reduced deposit and on board credit for the future cruise.

If you prefer working with a TA after you book onboard you have 60 days to transfer to a TA who may give you additional perks for transferring.

 

Can anyone tell me if I still get to keep the onboard credit if I transfer?

You do not have to book a specific cruise while on board. We always book the open end, then when we decide when and where we are going, we let our TA know and it gets applied to the cruise. You get the reduced deposit and the OBC, so it is worth it.

Yes, you keep the onboard credit if you transfer the booking to a travel agent.

I should say, it was worth it to do open booking until the recent change.
