mikehn Posted April 2, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2014 Does anyone know whether I can connect aboard RCCL using a Macbook? As opposed to a windows based device. Thanks
Raenstoirm Posted April 2, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 2, 2014 There is no difference. Wifi is wifi. It doesn't know what device you are using.

Thanks Yes, a Macbook can use Royal's WiFi. The only issue I've heard about is that sometimes the disconnect process does not work, and you continue to rack up minutes. Guest Services can give you a URL to use to log off.
ccotting Posted April 6, 2014 #4 Share Posted April 6, 2014 Just finished a cruise and didn't have any problems with my Mac. It is important to log into safari, then get the RCCI login and when it asks you to bookmark say yes. It just creates a tab. Keep the tab and when you need to log off you will see the arrow to press to log off to ensure you don't run on your bill. I find it is still slow to use the cruise ship network but it is faster to use my laptop than using the ship's computers
