Just wondering if a lot of shops/ straw market and such are closed on Sundays?

We were there on a Sunday and a lot of the shops were closed. There were a few smaller souvenier type shops open if I remember correctly.

Some shops are closed or have late opening due to church services, Straw market opens but some will be late.

 

Local Artisans line Bay street with their locally made goods on Saturday/Sun starting at 9am. Til 6pm on Saturday, and til 4pm on Sunday.

 

There's enough open to shop and see some interesting things.

Also note the Chocolate Factory Tours at Greycliffe are closed on Sundays as well.

I would suggest taking a private tour like we did in Janurary, no body knows the island better then the taxi (tour) people do!!!!
