Thejuggler Posted April 6, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2014 My thought is to Book when you see a deal you are happy with and don't check the price again.

Mark Mark, November is one of the quiet times last year there were very good offers. My advise has always been to book early or book late. Early for Nov. this year was April last year. If you can I would wait. Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app
kevinyork Posted April 6, 2014 #4 Share Posted April 6, 2014 The current Nov prices are pretty steep. Last Nov you could get a 2 week balcony incl the flight for £999. I would hold off. Caribbean cruises are more popular after Christmas than before. Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app

Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app Yes they are about £2000 now, I would think they will come down September time or perhaps earlier but you cannot guarantee that they will go down as far as £1000. Of £2000 is 20% lower than our first cruise in 2001 and that was for a day less. So it is only expensive compared to the very low prices of last year. Having said that, if you have not booked yet then it must be wise to wait. Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app
vizzog Posted April 6, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 6, 2014 Looking at booking Caribbean in NovemberOffering £160 per cabin plus £70 each on board spend total £300 spend I wonder what will the offer be after end of April when curent offer finishes. or even to wait until later in year as only looking for inside cabin any thoughts? Mark Have cruised the Caribbean a few times at this time of year have always booked well in advance but this year have booked the time off but are waiting until nearer the time. My sister in law and husband booked last minute (about 6 weeks) last year to join us on the transatlantic crossing on Azura paid £1049 for guaranteed balcony (only one flight on this leg so cheaper than usual Caribbean cruises). We were on a back to back 4 week cruise they paid half what we did for this leg, we did choose our cabin & dining at the time of booking, not complaining but quite a difference in price. I realise there may not be the discounts of last year but currently a balcony on Azura or Ventura for a 2 week fly cruise is over £2000 each we have always paid around £300pp less than this. Not worried about flights, cabin location, dining so for the first time we are going to take a chance, if nothing available with P&O there are other options with other cruise lines or even a Caribbean land based holiday for the time we have off. (Lets hope I hold my nerve:eek:)

And the others have a raft of newish itineraries. So will bring back some of those who may have been to all the regular ones before. Busylizzie17 Posted April 8, 2014 #10 Share Posted April 8, 2014 Hi Mark & Dee How are you both. We met you last Nov on the Azura transatlantic crossing. Good cruise wasn't it. Dee came on the private trip in Grenada with us as you were not very well. We are looking at going away in May at the moment. And who knows about the TA crossing in October :) Best regards Brenda & John
