noahsark99 Posted July 29, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 29, 2005 A friend and I are taking a Mom-and-Kids-Only cruise during Spring Break. Kids will range in age from 6 to 12. Besides just going to a beach are there any suggestions for fun kid friendly place to go? THANKS
noahsark99 Posted August 2, 2005 Author #2 Share Posted August 2, 2005 I just thought I'd post a reply to my own question in case it might be helpful to someone else. There's a new excursion through Carnival called something like Pirates, Parrots and Monkeys of the Caribbean and that's what we plan to do. The kids will enjoy holding the monkeys! Island Dweller Posted August 2, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 2, 2005 Pirates, Parrots and Monkeys is Gumbalimba Park. Remember to bring your swim stuff as it is located at the beach. Also, bug spray incase of the occasional mosquito or sand fly. There is a restaurant there to buy food, drink or an ice cream. Lots of bathrooms and changing rooms. There is a shower on the beach next to the snorkle and snuba hut. Have a great time. Island Dweller
Sgt. Jeff Posted August 2, 2005 #4 Share Posted August 2, 2005 My son is 6...Is there a lot of walking with this. How long is the excursion??
xanax Posted September 6, 2005 #5 Share Posted September 6, 2005 I've been hoping for a Gumbalimba excursion, but I can't believe the ship is charging $49. Its only one hour and I wonder if that includes transportation. On non cruise days, the park is $17 unlimited access. How can they justify this? Has anyone done this excursion that can enlighten me? :(
