Best place to buy tie Juneau or Skagway

My husband would like yo buy a tie that represents Alaska to wear for the 2nd formal night. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good place to do this in one if these ports? Thanks!

I would the first port you stop at . If you like what you buy it . You won't necessarily find the same tie in the next port . Many times ties are unique to the port where they are sold.

In Ketchikan, on Creek Street, in the building next to Dolly's is an artist who sells t-shirts of his paintings.

I would expect he may also have ties, but it has been 5 years since my last Alaska Cruise.

 

BTW the T-Shirt is of an Inuit Bear. (red on black) Have had several people in Tucson tell me that they are familiar with his work.

In Juneau there is an artists co-op, called the Juneau Artists Gallery, located on South Franklin Street, and it seems to me that I might have seen some hand painted ties there last September.

The Tongass Trading Company dockside in Ketchikan has ties with wolves, bears, eagles, etc. If you want to buy one before you get to Ketchikan, just order from them online.
