How is it that on our sailing to Bermuda there are only 9 out of 37 AQ cabins on Deck 11 booked? Cabins 1100, 1101, 1103, 1107, 1115, 1117, 1141(ours), 1140 and 1138 are the only ones booked for our sailing. I think we are sailing on a pretty empty ship. Hmmmmm!!

Some people like them and others don't. What typically happens when they have a lot of unsold AQ cabins is that they fill them by discounting the prices as the sailing date gets closer, possibly adding senior, resident or military discounts, or they assign them for guarantees or upgrades, as just described by a poster on another thread who got one that way.

I really don't think you need have any concerns about the ship sailing empty. :D

As with most things, it's $'s. The A1's are often quite a bit more $'s than the A2's. With the new one class upgrade for captains' club members which includes aqua, I suspect that you'll see more of the A1's being taken by those who might book an A2...they are effectively the same price. We hate the large overhang...so we much prefer an A1. With the new perk, we pay for an A2 and get an A1.
