Non-refundable OBC and using OBC at casino

Please, I am posing this question for a friend of mine. She has over $900 in OBC and she is told it is non-refundable OBC. She doesn't spend a lot on the ship and wants to use the money for the cruise in September.

The question is can she have however much she wants put on her S&S for the casino, play a small amount, and then cash it out for good ole hard cash, it will it sit on her S&S as the non-refundable OBC?

I suggested the casino to get it because you are allowed to use the OBC to play at the casino and it would be a good way to convert non-refundable OBC to refundable cash by the end of the cruise.....

Please, any help you can give would be appreciated, she has two weeks before she leaves for the cruise.

Thanks

In the past when I have been lucky enough to have OBC, I use the slot machine to draw out that money as cash. All the OBC will be loaded on her S&S card at the start of the trip. She can set up a players bank on any slot and load money to the machine from the sail and sign card. She will need to play a cycle of slot and can then load that money into the players bank. Go to the cashier and cash out the players bank money.

I have used the casino method as well. If she really wants the cash I would try it early in the cruise to make sure it works.

Not sure if you can get cash out of the kiosks or not as I have never tried it. Maybe someone else knows. She can go to the kiosk and it will print her statement and it lists what is refundable and non-refundable just for confirmation.

She could use some of it for tips.

Sure wish I could get $900 in OBC :D :D

I used this method 3 weeks ago on the Legend and it worked great. We had $500 nonrefundable OBC and only spent $300, so I wanted to get the other $200 in cash.

Even though we've been on 20+ cruises, we never gamble so I had to ask a casino worker to help me set up my account on a slot machine. I played the slots for a few minutes, lost $12 to the slot machine, and then cashed out the rest.
