patz Posted April 15, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2014 We received a casino offer in the mail that includes $300.00 in casino cash and free drinks while playing. There is only 1 sea day. We hit 4 ports as well as cruising through the Tracy Arm Fjord. For those of you who have done this cruise, how often is the casino open? Does the ship actually get out into international waters? Rare mking8288 Posted April 15, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2014 Typically, the ship is out in open/int'l waters 1/2 to 1 hour after leaving ports, including those in Alaska and casino/duty-free shop, etc. will be open until late night/early morning, and sometimes stayed open in the morning for slots until it's coming into the port. I don't recall if the actions continued while slowly cruising the Fjord - frankly, you wanted to be on the balcony or outside deck for the sail, with binoculars and camera(s) with tele-photo lens. Most of us sail Alaska to see the scenic beauty that nature offer us, not to sit inside the casino but that's just us. Casino's payout for slots aren't so great but table games are better, if you are lucky and since it's an offer, you are expected to play to earn/keep your offers coming & will NEED to make your generous "contribution" Good luck on your gaming ;)
bwjj931 Posted April 15, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 15, 2014 We did this cruise a couple of years ago and while I don't remember exactly when or how much the casino was open I do remember having plenty of time to lose some money there! lol
