Motleu Posted April 24, 2014 Author #126 Share Posted April 24, 2014 I noticed in the above picture, there is a tram. Do you know where the tram went? Was it free? Not sure where the tram goes - maybe connected to the excursions. The tram is not necessary to get around the port area because it is fairly small. Somehow pics of The Crypt nightclub got in the middle of this set so here they are - only went there once late night and it wasn't very busy

Motleu Posted April 24, 2014 Author #131 Share Posted April 24, 2014 Time for food pics! The theme of Day 4 dinner was Pimiento - tropical casual Arancini - not bad! Antipasti
Motleu Posted April 24, 2014 Author #132 Share Posted April 24, 2014 I don't think anybody got dessert. We weren't too impressed with the selections so no pics
Motleu Posted April 24, 2014 Author #133 Share Posted April 24, 2014 Artwork around the ship In the hallway right by the Royal suite - Nice story about the suite - on embarkation day we were walking by the RS (just down the hall from our puny interior) and the door was open and I stuck my head in. The gentleman staying there waved me in and introduced himself and his wife. Nicest people ever! They were on their 40th and last cruise! Wife's health issues were putting an end to their travels so this was their last go around - just the two of them! They had just gotten back from a Disney cruise where they took 29 family members. he said they always book the RS if it is available and love the Freedom RS more than any other in the fleet. We got a tour of the suite but like an idiot I didn't have my camera - one of the few times I didn't. We spent some time talking but we never saw them again!! Happy trails to the wonderful couple! Motleu Posted April 24, 2014 Author #135 Share Posted April 24, 2014 Now for Day 5 and Grand Cayman - we did our only organized excursion that day to Stingray City. DW and I were there once before but we wanted to take our DD's and they were excited and a little nervous. We drove about 20 min to get to our boat - leaving the pier Stingray City up ahead! Motleu Posted April 24, 2014 Author #136 Share Posted April 24, 2014 It's funny being in the middle of the ocean and the water only reaching your waist although the waves were pretty choppy that day An exhausted group leaving Stingray City - we used cheap waterproof cams for the actual in water pics and I haven't checked those out yet. I am not expecting much.

DrD Posted April 24, 2014 #139 Share Posted April 24, 2014 No, the last pic of the ceiling in the promenade has the pool. On the ceiling the fake woman diving through the pool and coming out of the ceiling. She is missing. Definitely still there. The pic you are referring to shows the blue light over the 4 sculptures that changes colors.

Rare BillOh Posted April 24, 2014 #141 Share Posted April 24, 2014 That is the motorcoach from the hotel! I was now on the ship at least 45 min before they arrived at the pier! Good decision! My mantra lately is that I can find something new and worthwhile in every review, and I've gotten this already! I'm reading a lot of Freedom reviews currently. While I was on her in 2008, I have never sailed out of Port Canaveral before.

Motleu Posted April 24, 2014 Author #143 Share Posted April 24, 2014 Did you do the cruise excrusion in stingray city or did you book on your own? How did you like it? We did the RC sponsored excursion. Cost was about $260. We enjoyed it although I would have liked some beer on the way back! Only had water and non alcoholic punch

Motleu Posted April 25, 2014 Author #146 Share Posted April 25, 2014 We went to a place called Rackams for lunch after Stingray City. It is about a 10 minute walk from the main pier. It sits right on the water and the food was good and the beer was cold!
