Yes, a little bit of each. Low and mid-ship is always the best in terms of both noise and motion.

 

However, MANY people swear by the aft cabins. We were upgraded to deck 7 twice (out of 8 sailings) and frankly, I prefer deck 4.

If you are looking at the aft 7 instead look at the B on 8th . Love those near the pool so convenient.

 

I havent heard about too much noise there but I did hear about the soot.

 

Colleagues of mine were not so pleased with their experience there.

 

I am with Motu deck 4 or deck 8th!
