Hi All.

 

Got back late Thursday night, had a fantastic cruise, made special by the amazing staff and entertainment team.

It's difficult to find fault about the Majesty, I know it's a marmite ship, but we love her and would have to be really picky to find some bad points.

 

Review to follow, I also got some pictures of the new balcony cabins and suites, will put them up when I have time.

Also many thanks for passing the message onto Adam the ACD and all the guidance and advice on getting to Jerez rather than Seville, and what to see in Malaga, your comments in the ports of call threads on Malaga are golden.

 

Will tell all about our time at Santa Semana parade later.

Ps How do I remove my old countdown clock?

 

Hi Maggie,

 

1) Go into USER CP at top of page (blue writing on a creamy background)

 

2) Click on EDIT SIGNATURE

 

3) Scroll down to where it says EDIT SIGNATURE NO ADVERTISING ALLOWED

 

4)Right click on your countdown clock and delete it

 

Hope this works :):)

We are going on the majesty in the summer and just wondering if you give them cash when you get on the ship if you want to buy anything or if it has to be a card? Things like bingo and the casino do you pay up front for or does that come off your final bill too?

Rhythm of Three are still on, and (IMO) they are one of the few bad points of the Ship.

Just didn't like them, guitarists are poor compared to the guys of Music Unlimited, she is out of tune, and uses a drum machine that plays loops from floppy discs. The guys from Summerland trio (last years band) are getting on a bit but they know their craft....

 

EmmaJane, If you don't register a credit or debit card then you have to deposit £200 behind reception to go on your account. Don't know about bingo or casino, never used them, but someone won £1400 last Weds on the rollover jackpot bingo.

Hi Geo.

 

The new buffet worked well for us, we only used it for Breakfast and Lunch, but the food was hot as they now have electric heaters under the first three trays. The upgrade has significantly improved the dining experience especially during the day, last year many times at Breakfast and Lunch we had to go downstairs to the Royal Observatory to find a table, not so this year. It never really bothered us having to do this last year, but I know it annoyed some.

 

There is more deck space and we never had a problem finding a bed at any time, there were the usual few walking around on the sea days about lunchtime with towel under arm looking unhappy, but you get that on every Ship.

 

There are a LOT of new sunbeds, many of the old aluminium ones have been replaced with the nice plastic ones with the blue mesh on, not the hard plastic ones you sometimes see.

 

The chairs in San Marco could do with upgrading though, they are not particularly comfortable and not really suitable for dining in the evenings. They would be better with cushions on.

the casino is the only place on board where you can use cash, at least it was last year, hope this helps.

yes, you can smoke on one side of the pool deck, one side of the sun deck and one side of the prom deck

 

cant remember which side tho?:o (the side with the ashtrays)

 

 

Port side, Geo.

I think it's the same for most ships, something to do with the refuelling AFAIK.
