Belikin Brewery

Has anyone gone to Belikin Brewery? What would a taxi cost from the TV? People have told me Belize is not safe to go it on your own, however, people say the same about Ocho Rios/Nassau and we do our own thing there and have never felt unsafe. Any travelers have opinions on the safety there?

When I was in Belize in November, I was told you can't tour the Belikin Beer plant unless you're in an organized tour - you can't just walk in yourself. I have been to Belize twice and never felt unsafe. However, even the Belizeans will tell you to be very careful in Belize City.

I'm not sure what a taxi tot he brewery would cost but as comparison it's around $25 to the international airport (not the municipal one), which is just on the other side of Ladyville.

There are organized tours out of Wet lizard/Coral Breeze that also take in a city tour.

That tour was one of the best things we have done in Belize( been there--Belize-5times)
