caber Posted April 27, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2014 I read that there are UK and US sockets in the cabins. Are they both on the dressing table section? I have a US hairdryer which I take aboard US cruise ships. I wondered whether I should take it or my UK one. It is a good hairdryer. I was disappointed with the ship`s ones so I bought it one year in Aruba.
Ray66 Posted April 27, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 27, 2014 (edited) Take your UK one. Yes, the sockets are all together on the table section. Peppern and I posted some pictures recently. http://cruiseforums.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=41687870#post41687870 Edited April 27, 2014 by Ray66
Cruise NH Posted April 27, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 27, 2014 Since most electronic products and hairdryers are dual voltage nowadays I always bring an adapter to use the other plugs in the room. So for me I would bring a UK adapter for my American electronics, etc. Adapters are not the same as converters and are very inexpensive to buy.
