Prepaid Debit Cards and Sail and Sign

Is it possible to use a prepaid debit card to cover charges on a Sail and Sign account?

I used a prepaid Visa on both of my recent cruises. I did link it to my sign and said during online check in but had to take the actual card down to guest services (well guest services on one cruise and the sign and sail kiosk on the other) and have the re do it because it was showing up as a balance due on our statements when checking our charges on the tv. But it was very easy all they did was swipe it at guest services and I swiped it at the kiosk, and after that everything was taken care of. I only had to do it that one time each cruise.

I've been buying Carnival gift cards with my prepaid visa cards. I read on another thread that someone had trouble with them. So I would rather be safe then sorry.

I never had troubles with the gift cards and even had money back at the end of the cruise
