What are the Barcelona and Madrid train stations like? One or two stories?

If two stories is there an elevator? I have an escalator phobia.

It's been a couple of years...

Atocha (Madrid) is multiple levels, big escalators, but I'm sure I remember seeing signs to elevators. Regional trains are on one level, the long distance trains on another.

Sants (Barcelona) was one main level, stairs/elevators to the metro lines, but I remember the main lines on the one level.

Thanks for the information about the Barcelona station, I did google the train for Madrid and when I went onto some links, the link was in English, the page in Spanish. In the end under the section persons with disabilities I was able to get an English page and see there are elevators
