Fram: tap water

I have it from a 'well placed source', though not completely confirmed yet, that tap water is now/soon will be available in the dining room on Fram!

I was onboard Fram last December and we still had tap water in the restaurant (as we had during our previous 2 trips on this ship), although you really have to ask firmly or they will try to sell you the bottled water (which is also produced in the ship, it's not commercial mineral water, so I'm not sure what is the difference with the tap water that is served during the meals). We were served one glass at a time though, they wouldn't leave the jug on the table, so we had to ask a waiter every time we needed a refill.

 

As much as I like Hurtigruten, I find their water policy pretty ridiculous.

The dining room 'tap' was turned off at the beginning of January, as we found to our disappointment when we boarded later in the month.

 

Common sense now seems to have prevailed.

I was on "Fram" recently on a European cruise over easter, and we had tap water on the table every day. No problem at all.
