Freeport-What to do?

Hi All,

Travelling on the Pride on May 18th, our last port is Freeport and we will only be there until 1:30. We will be doing beach days on the other two stops so we aren't planning on beach in Freeport. Is there anything to do in port that is nearby that we don't have to take a cab to? Any suggestions for something that we should see. It's just the two of us. Thanks for any suggestions!

We are considering touring the brewery on our own, taking a taxi there.

Otherwise we will just hang out around the port, there is a Senor Frogs and a straw market area.

We did the Segway tour in Freeport and just loved it. We are two seniors who never tried this before, but you only live once. Piece of cake. LOL

 

It was an excellent tour and I would recommend it very highly.

Is the brewery you're talking about, the same one that Carnival has an excursion with? Have you found any good info regarding doing it independently vs through Carnival? I can google too, just wondering if you've come across anything.

Nothing.......

Carnival does have an excursion there, with a perfumery and Port Lucaya

But we would rather just visit the brewery.

Hope someone posts back having done it on their own!

Yes, the port terminal area is way much more cruiser friendly than it once was and is always a good Plan B. :D
