jdbmga Posted May 8, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 8, 2014 We sailed on the Mariner in 2008 and loved her. She is still one of our favorite ships (sailed mostly on Carnival). We have been on Freedom of the Seas and are going on Oasis, Allure and Freedom this year. We are looking at the Navigator for 2016 bc she comes back to FL. I just read that they added rooms, so will she feel a lot more crowded than the Mariner was in 2008? Also, what are the differences between FOS and IOS? Thank you :)

Thank you :) I think they added around 200 guests to Navigator. That's fewer than the amount of guests that Freedom class adds over Voyager class, so Navigator should feel less crowded in Windjammer and the theater than Freedom class. Freedom and Indy are very close. Shows are different, Freedom has Dreamworks characters, Freedom still has Portofino while Indy has Giovanni's. George C Posted May 8, 2014 #3 Share Posted May 8, 2014 It is never good when cruise ships add cabins and do not increase size of show rooms etc, just sailed on Navigator last week and at times it was hard to find seats in some of the places. But it wasn't that bad and we did book another cruise on her next April, but we have suite and have priority to get seats for shows etc.
