Celtic Fringe Posted May 13, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2014 We're travelling on Equinox on 20 May and two ports we visit are Istanbul and Dubrovnik. Just panicking in case we need visas for Istanbul? Can anyone put my mind at rest please. Thank you in advance. Celticfringe
Rare ghstudio Posted May 13, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 13, 2014 British nationals need a visa to enter Turkey, except for cruise ship passengers with ‘British Citizen’ passports entering the country for a day trip, remaining in the port of embarkation and returning to the ship the same day. from: https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/turkey/entry-requirements
Celtic Fringe Posted May 13, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted May 13, 2014 Thank you ghstudio! We're just planning to take a Celebrity tour into Istanbul so hopefully that means we're okay. Thanks for putting my mind at ease. Celticfringe :)

Bluebury Posted May 13, 2014 #6 Share Posted May 13, 2014 When we were on Azamara they arranged for all passengers to have a visa - whether you wanted/needed one or not! They automatically added the fee to the on board spend account to be paid at the end of the cruise. It was at the US visa rate - not the UK visa rate which at that time meant that we paid $40.
