winefoodandsong Posted May 13, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2014 I am very fortunate to be getting on the Oasis this Saturday. I have a question about the drink packages. I love wine but I hate cheap wine. I will have several glasses a day onboard between lunch and dinner, maybe a cocktail or two also. I will definitely spend a lot of time in the casino. Given all that, what do you wine drinkers and gamblers out there think about the value of the drink packages? And which package? How liberal are they with comped drinks in the casino? Thanks! Clarea Posted May 13, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 13, 2014 (edited) To my knowledge, there are no comped drinks in the casino, unless you are a member of the players club. EDIT: I believe there is a reciprocity agreement with MGM Grand, and that includes some free drink coupons. Edited May 13, 2014 by clarea
George C Posted May 13, 2014 #3 Share Posted May 13, 2014 We did the 55 a day package which includes wine up to 12 dollars a glass and drinks up to 10 dollars, we were happy with wine choices and we are picky when it comes to wine. I doubt you will be getting anything free in the casino.
1992cruiser Posted May 13, 2014 #4 Share Posted May 13, 2014 you have to play a lot in the casino to even get rated, and even then, the comps are very hard to come by. If you play slots, it's even worse, I play the same amount on a cruise or in Vegas---one place, I get my rooms and beverages for free, the other, I might get $10-20 back. My wife says the wine is pretty bad, but I thought they changed it since our last sailing.
