We are thinking of booking a balcony cabin on deck 6 around the #6260. Are there lifeboats under this section that would block a looking down view?

They might block a very small portion of your view. The lifeboats are mostly tucked inside the outer hull of the ship.

It appears, from photos I can find, that the lifeboats on deck 5 are a bit aft of cabin 6260 so your view straight down should be pretty much unobstructed. Perhaps someone here has actually stayed in 6260 (or cabins on either side) and can give a better perspective.
