Aft mini on panama canal cruise

Just pointing out, in case you didn't know or need one for yourself, that cabin

11650 is a handicap room.

Loved being in the aft for the Panama Canal transit. Had the TV tuned to the bridge channel to catch the forward view. Awesome.

Go AFT you will enjoy looking at the closing of the locks, and yes keep you tv on the forward view- it will be too hot to stay outside for any length of time, at least it was for us twice- we sailed twice in an Aft suite for the PC Cruise- thought it was great!

I was just on a Panama canal cruise on HAL. We had a large wrap around aft balcony. We were up front at first, just too crowded, then went back to our suite. It was nice to sit down and enjoy the transit. When are you going? If later than March be prepared for the heat, hoping you are in the shade. Also the ships photographers will be out on the canal taking pictures of everyone on balconys waiving, it was nice to get a picture of us.

 

Enjoy it is a great trip.

You will absolutely love the aft cabin's balcony when going through the canal. It gives great views of both the sights and the canal operations without the crowds or being stuck in the sun up on top. Here is a link to some photos from our aft balcony (wrap around) on the Star a few years ago. The locks close up within a few feet from you and at least for us on the corner, we could literally reach out to the mules as we went up/down.
